Q. How do I clean my Shade Swim swimwear?
To keep your Shade Swim swimwear looking bright and beautiful, simply machine wash in 40 degree or cold water on a gentle, delicate or hand wash cycle after use. We recommend washing in a lingerie bag to protect your garment from any pulls or tears during washing. Do not tumble dry or bleach. Simple squeeze off excess water or use a delicate spin cycle. You may dry clean or use a cool iron on your Shade Swim swimwear.
Q. Will my Shade Swim swimwear colour fade over time?
Our swimwear is made with the highest quality fabric available. The Xtra Life Lycra fibre resists fabric breakdown five times more than your average chlorine-resistant spandex. Our swimwear stands the test of time and will not be impacted by fiber breakage or loss of tightness and firmness due to sunscreen, pool water or oxidation..
Q. How do I know my size?
Shade Swim swimwear is designed to suit all shapes and sizes. Our sizing follows standard Australian and UK size guidelines. If you measure yourself and find you are between sizes according to the size chart, we recommend choosing the next size up for comfort and fit. For example if you usually wear an AUS Size 10 in the top but are a AUS Size 12 in the bottom (or vice versa), we suggest choosing a Size 12. Q. Will my swimwear lift my boobs?
We have used a soft cup mold featuring a small amount of boning detail under the bust to lift your breasts up. Our special high quality soft molded cup allows you to move your breasts around in the space provided while offering exceptional support and lift.

Q. How long does it take for my Shade Swim swimwear to be shipped?
We guarantee to ship your Shade Swim order within 1-3 business day of receiving your payment and order. If you make a purchase over the weekend or on a public holiday we will receive your payment on the next business day and ship within 1 - 3 business day. We offer standard shipping free of charge on all orders and this usually takes 5-7 business days. If you need your swimwear sooner, we also offer express, at a cost of $12, and this usually takes 1- 2 business day. Please note: If you are located outside of a metropolitan area (eg. Rural or outer suburban areas) please allow an additional two business days for delivery times. Please check the Australia Post website for details. Our delivery times are a guide only and while we do our very best to deliver your Shade Swim swimsuit as quickly as possible, we cannot be liable for any delivery delays due to factors outside of our control, such as payment authorisation delays.

Shade Swim uses Australia Post for our shipping. Depending on your location you may have the option to sign for goods or provide an authority to leave in a safe place, or request delivery to an alternative location. Please contact us if you don’t receive your order within the shipping estimates we have provided and we will investigate for you. Please note we cannot be held liable for missing or stolen items if you choose to provide Australia Post with an authority to leave your order in a safe place.
Q. My order is wrong – what do I do?
Oops – sorry! We try our very best to avoid any issues with orders but from time to time mistakes do happen (we are only human, after all). Please contact us with your order number, email and contact details, along with your address and details of the issue. Please also pop the incorrect order in the post and send us a copy of the receipt. We will happily reimburse you for return postage fees in this instance. Please send your incorrect order back to PO Box 12, Greenslopes QLD 4120. Don’t forget to include your details inside the postage bag so we know who the package has come from.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
We do not currently offer international shipping. If you are located out of Australia please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
Q. Do you offer same day delivery?
For orders within a 10km radius of Brisbane CBD and processed before 10am it may be possible to offer same day delivery. Please contact us to request a rush order and we will do our very best to assist you with same day delivery if you are in Brisbane. Our delivery options for all other locations are standard (5-7 business days) or express (1-2 business days).
Returns and Exchanges
Q. Can I change my mind after I’ve placed my Shade Swim order?
If you change your mind we’ll happily provide you an exchange or credit voucher for a future purchase. Please choose carefully as we don’t issue refunds for change of mind purchases. All exchange requests must be received within 30 days of your purchase. Items must be returned in new, unwashed condition with tags still attached.
Q. The swimwear I’ve purchased doesn’t ﬁt me – can I exchange it for a different size?
Absolutely! In order for Shade Swim to issue an exchange your item must: - Be in new condition - Be unworn, unwashed and free from alternations - Have tags attached - Have the hygiene seal in tact When you receive your swimwear please only try on over your underwear. Due to hygiene and safety reasons unfortunately we cannot accept returned items if this has not occurred. Please contact us if you wish to exchange your Shade Swim swimwear. Please provide your name, order number and contact details and we will be in touch within 24 hours of receipt of your email.
Q. How do I return a faulty item?
If you discover your swimwear is faulty – we’re sorry! Please email us immediately with all the relevant details and we will rectify the issue straight away. We will happily reimburse you for return postage fees in this instance. Please resend the item back to PO Box 12, Greenslopes QLD 4120.
Q. Have you received my return?
Once Shade Swim has received your returned item we will send you an acknowledgement receipt and inspect the merchandise. We will provide you an outcome of your refund or exchange request within 24 hours of receiving the item.
Q. How do I exchange an item I’ve ordered?
Please contact us with all the relevant details of your exchange request (current order, new order including new size or colour if applicable). Please include your name and contact details (phone, email and postal address) so we can finalise your request straight away. Please seal and return your item using appropriate postage satchels and ensure you use the Australia Post trackable label. Please note we cannot accept responsibility for items we don’t ship ourselves.
